Do I need to bring my own detailing supplies? +
Yes — Wishy Washers are independent contractors responsible for their own equipment. We provide a full recommended supply list after onboarding. A foam cannon, microfiber towels, wheel cleaner, and interior products cover most jobs.
How and when do I get paid? +
Earnings are deposited weekly via direct deposit. Tips come through immediately after the job. You'll have full visibility into every transaction in the Washer App.
Can I work part-time? +
Absolutely. Many washers work Wishy Washy alongside another job or school. There are no minimum hour requirements — you go online when you're ready.
Is there a minimum number of jobs per week? +
No minimums. Washers with consistent activity and strong ratings get priority job matching, so the more you work, the more bookings come your way.
What happens if a customer isn't satisfied? +
We handle disputes professionally and give you a full opportunity to respond before any decisions are made. Our goal is to protect both the customer experience and your reputation.
Can I set my own service area? +
Yes. In the Washer App you define your preferred radius from your home base. You'll only receive booking requests within that zone.
Do I need insurance? +
As an independent contractor you're responsible for your own auto insurance. We strongly recommend general liability insurance as well. We can point you to affordable options during onboarding.
What is the platform fee and when does it start? +
There is zero platform fee for your first 3 months — you keep every dollar you earn. Starting month 4, a 10% platform fee applies. At month 7 the standard rate moves to 15%, which is still nearly half of what Uber and TaskRabbit charge. All fees are published upfront — no surprises.
What is the early adopter rate and how do I qualify? +
The first 25 washers who join and complete 20 jobs have their platform fee locked at 10% permanently — even after the standard rate moves to 15%. Apply now, complete your first 20 jobs, and your rate never goes above 10%. This offer closes once 25 spots are filled.
